Q: Who are the Pikes Peak Rollers?
A: RV enthusiasts who have formed a club to go on rallies to various locations, having fun and fellowship.
Q: Who can join / how?
A: Must be a Family Recreational Vehicle Association (FRVA) member. This was previously known as the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA). Anyone with an RV. That includes travel trailers, class A, B, and C, fifth wheels, and truck campers.
Q: What are the dues?
A: When joining the club, the fee is $30 for the first season. After that, the annual dues are $20 on the first of October.
Q: Where do they go?
A: There are five rallies established each season. Many of these take place in Colorado, but there have been rallies that have taken us to New Mexico, Utah, and other neighboring states. Rallies are held once per month, starting in May and ending in September, and typically start on a Thursday and end with a going-away breakfast on Sunday.
Q: What do the rallies cost?
A: $15 per person. Volunteer rally hosts organize a couple of meals and/or social gatherings and send out an agenda to all participants, letting them know what will take place at events, and what to expect. Other meals are the rally participants' responsibility.
Q: Pet friendly?
A: Absolutely pet friendly, and we expect pet owners to be responsible for their pets at all times.
Q. Are there any member responsibilities?
A. Members are expected to periodically host a rally along with another couple. This is a great opportunity to start some long-term friendships. It is also expected that members will try to attend some of the rallies held each year, although it is acknowledged that members may belong to multiple RV clubs or have other commitments that could impact their rally attendance.
Q. What kind of activities do you do at a Rally?
A. Hiking, biking, jeep tours, brewery tours, etc. It is limited only to the imagination of the rally hosts.
Q. How many members are in the club?
A. This is a moving target, but currently there are over 50 members (25 couples).
